Job description
This role is an individual contributor responsible for on-site installation, maintenance and repair of IBM and multi-vendor systems and components, including hardware, networking products, software and operating systems. They are the primary technical interface to clients for the coordination of hardware and/or software support and delivery of operational services as required by the client. They advise clients of preventive maintenance, configuration, operation and environmental factors which may impact product performance or impair client's IT operation. They may also perform services activities such as systems assurance, installation planning, account management, systems-level problem determination, discontinuance and relocation of IBM and non-IBM systems and products. They are accountable to ensure a high level of client satisfaction with service delivery, technical support and operational services for the client account(s). When critical situations occur, they are the IBM technical interface to clients and manage the situation until the problem is fixed. They have a thorough understanding of, and are able to articulate, IBM's technical support strategy. They are responsible for the technical value relationship to protect revenue base and identify new services opportunities.The employee leads a functional/business unit.

Development of a joint Go to Market Sales Plans (Joint target accounts, Develop sales plays to increase pipeline and improve closure rates. Actively identify, drive & own selected Partner-led Microsoft Devices Group pipeline and conduct opportunity reviews that enable joint selling across the ecosystem. Develops strong and capable partners to achieve sales targets that results in growth of mutual businesses and profitability. (E.g. inspect and increase partner sales capacity and capability, adoption/usage MS Sales resources, coordination with MS technical and solution pre-sales resources). Measure and manage portfolio success against metrics to maximize win-win results and strategic partner investments. Ensure that objectives in terms of availability, visibility, volume, margin, quality and trade prices. Provide executive engagement and partner advocacy that leads to world class partner satisfaction. 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
The Regional manager must be strong at anticipating customer needs and expectations, managing day-to-day business, and communicating customer requirements within the Microsoft Devices group. Based on a solid market and customer understanding he/she prepares sales plans that provide value to the customer and Microsoft Devices Group and thus influences sell through decisions to grow the Microsoft Devices Group business in the region. He/she should be able to manage an efficient and effective regional team through on-job training, motivation and staff development in order to protect the brand, market share and trade programs. Be a leader in sales and been able to drive competitive retail sales through our distributon channels as well as well manage our clients and customer bases. Also ensure that product trainings are duly aligned and back checks in regard are executed to drive the results.


Qualification: 
Business school graduate preferably an MBA degree holder with 6+ years of experience in Sales and retail marketing and having relevant experience in Key Account / Sales Management. Excellent verbal and written communication skill with requisite interpersonal skills to partner, collaborate and build relationships with our customer, and with regional teams.

  • Bring to bear own knowledge and experience of selling in the telecoms sector on the team, defining and implementing  developmental strategies that will support the growth of the team and generate increased revenue for the company.
  • Drive results through others, manage team performance, set clear expectations, and hold team accountable against business metrics.
  • Oversee efforts of the team on accounts by reviewing sales proposals and negotiating with clients.
  • Provide to the Line manager with the necessary sales reports, budgets, sales plan, and market analysis.
  • Co-ordinate with relevant technical teams such as Transmission and IP Engineering team to ensure timely delivery of services to the customer.
  • Speak positively and enthusiastically about the company and its products and services to ensure that a professional company and brand image is provided at all times to customers and colleagues.
  • Work with other support teams such as Technical Sales, Legal, Finance and Service Delivery to resolve any customer queries or problems in a timely and effective manner in order to achieve and maintain customer satisfaction. 
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Post graduate/relevant professional qualification will be an advantage.
  • At least ten (10) years’ relevant sales experience with at least four (4) years in supervisory role.

  • Extensive knowledge of the sector’s sales principles and practices, and an ability to coach others on them.
  • Understanding of local markets, customers and competition in order to target needs and drive sales.
  • Ability to grow the business, with proven success of client return on investment.
